Comfrey is a fast growing, prolific herbal plant with many wonderful and is historically known as the "knitbone herb".
Used to make tinctures and poultices for sprains, broken bones, bruises.
Great fodder for nursing cows and goats, boosting their milk supply and giving them a nutritional boost
Living compost source, laying its large, prolific leaves around the base of other plants to fertilize them
Enjoys moist soil and care to start
Comfrey is easy to start from root pieces. Simply plant horizontally about 2” deep in well-prepared soil. Water and keep moist until sprouted 2-4 weeks later. Can be started in pots or in a garden bed. Will spread.

Comfrey can be planted in Spring or Fall.
